Basics
This is a path making game where players must move around an isometric grid.
As you move some of the tiles underneath turn the color of your block.
Each level is complete when you reach the painting status quo for red, green, yellow, and blue.
Tile types
Starting tile – you can jump from the starting point into the grid, but can not jump back out. The starting tile can not be painted.
Ordinary tiles – ordinary white tiles can be painted by walking across them.
Other than the white tiles with an X on them you must paint all ordinary tiles one color or another.
Paint tiles – tiles which contain a cube of paint on them change the color of your active paint.
When you step onto a paint tile you also color that paint tile.
X tiles – you can walk across these once, but must quickly move off them, as they fall away moments after being stepped on.
Once X tiles have fallen they do not reappear unless you start the level over again.
Gray tiles – these tiles act like they have glue on them.
You may need to tap a direction 4 or 5 times quickly to move off of a gray tile.
Brown tiles – these tiles cycle between three states that repeatedly rotate:
brown with no spikes – acts like an ordinary tiles, other than you can not paint them
brown showing the tips of spikes – similar to above, but warns that spikes are coming soon
brown with full spikes – you die if you step on them
Arrow tiles – these tiles paint all cells on a row or column the color of the arrow tile.
The arrow tiles can be used repeatedly.
Stepping on the arrow tiles paints the associated cells, but does not change the color of the active paint on your movement cube.
Levels
This game was originally released with 92 stages, though expanded to 184 stages in August of 2024.
All stages are unlocked sequentially.
You can go back and replay previously beat levels at any time.
Winning vs losing
You beat a level by painting the correct number of tiles in the quantity shown for each color. You can go over the coloring limit for any color provided you end the stage with the correct number of tiles each color.
You lose a level if you fall off platform or run into spikes.
If you grab the paints in the wrong order or paint an incorrect number of tiles you can press the restart button to start the level again.
This game offers unlimited continues, starting you at the beginning of any failed level.
Tips
Many levels require backtracking.
If one paint tile is accessible only through another square that had a paint tile on it you must paint extra tiles of the first color so that when you reach the second tile and paint over prior cells you still have enough of the color painted.
Since every square needs painted you can start with the far white tiles, overpaint the first color, and then come back knowing the second color will come over many of the squares.
When one color is over by a set number and the next color requires that same number of tiles be colored that means you can paint across to complete the stage.
Color arrows
The color arrows can be used repeatedly while the paint blocks can only be used once.
Be sure to for the impacts of arrow tiles when figuring out how many tiles to paint of another color & what tiles need painted that will not shift colors.
In some cases you have to step on a square painted by the arrow after using the arrow to get the correct quantity of each paint color.
Color painting order & movement strategy
It can be useful to paint either the colors that have the fewest squares to color, the most squares to color, or those which are most distant.
The best way to progress through the stages is to minimize the number of times you have to backtrack over spikes. If you have a long walk over spikes you should try to stop on ordinary tiles or gray tiles partway through the journey to avoid having the spikes come out while you are walking across them.
As much as possible one should save the X squares toward the end of the stage, unless they have already painted all the squares on the other side the correct color & will not need to return.
